Tuesday Thought of The Day: Almost, but not Quite

You cannot satisfy your hunger by almost eating.

You cannot satisfy your thirst by almost drinking.

You cannot succeed in life by almost giving your best.

You cannot succeed in your marriage by being almost being faithful.

You cannot succeed in addiction recovery by almost stopping.

There is an old saying, almost doesn’t count except in horseshoes and hand grenades.

But why do we choose to ALMOST FOLLOW JESUS. I almost want to change. I almost want to get involved. I almost way to be obedient. As long as it is quick,

as long as it is easy, and I don't have to put much effort into it, I AM ALL IN...

Isn't that how we expect our relationship with God to be? In Acts 26:24-29 Paul almost convinces King Agrippa to follow Jesus, King Agrippa’s reply was “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to ALMOST get into heaven, I want to fully experience eternity with Jesus.
