On Sundays, we currently offer two children's classes; nursery and toddlers (3 mos-3 years) and preK-5th grade. Parents are welcome to join their child in the nursery until he or she is comfortable and ready for drop off. Our children's classes are mixed age and offer a loving, fun, healthy, and safe environment for every child. Check-in for children's classes starts 15 mins before the service. Children age 4 and older are then invited to join their families for worship in the "big church" before being dismissed to their class. There, our children have the opportunity to learn and grow in their relationship with our Creator through songs, stories, educational videos, discussion and a mix of center-based activities accommodating a variety of age levels and learning styles.
Both rooms are cleaned regularly, as are any toys or materials available for use in the classrooms. Please only bring your children to class if they are healthy and symptom free. This is our policy year-round, but is particularly important this year as we open back up from Covid-19 quarantine. Even though masks are still being worn during our services, parents and volunteers will be allowed to determine for themselves whether masks are the right choice within the classrooms. It is our priority that the children have a positive social and emotional experience as well as a healthy one and are fully able to communicate with each other and with the teachers / caregivers.
We are continuing to offer a variety of on-line resources for parents to connect with their children and continue their spiritual growth at home. Click on our page children's lessons to follow along with our at home activities.
